Transparent, flat trademark fees — published up front

Unlike most of the traditional trademark legal industry, our fees are transparent and straightforward. Pricing is per trademark class, so it reflects exactly what your brand covers.

General federal trademark fee schedule

Choose the schedule that matches your mark

We charge a competitive flat fee to file U.S. trademark applications along with most trademark-related actions.

Filing of the federal trademark application

$700 legal fee + $350 governmental fee Covers the governmental filing fee and our services fee to prepare and file the application in one class of goods or services.

Additional classes of products or services

$350 governmental fee + $150 legal fee $500 total for each additional class over one.

Prosecution / argument charges

Typically $350–$900 For responding to any issues, objections, or rejections from the trademark office.

Filing of proof of use of the trademark in commerce

$550 per class Combined governmental fee plus legal fee for each class, along with associated governmental fees.

Six-month extension of time to use the mark

$550 every 6 months, per class Combined governmental fee plus legal fee, allowing additional time to use the trademark in commerce.

Formal trademark screening search

$600 Optional preliminary screening of your proposed mark.

Comprehensive search

$1,600 Includes a search of USPTO trademark records and state trademark registries.

All other trademark-related services

$400 / hour Attorney billing rate for the additional services listed below.

Billed at the $400 hourly rate

  • Trademark opinions, telephone or video consultations
  • Email correspondence
  • Infringement analysis
  • Starting or settling opposition and cancellation proceedings
  • Assigning your application or registration to another company
  • Review of proper trademark use
  • Reporting, researching, and responding to office actions (refused applications)
  • Negotiations or dispute resolution to obtain your registration
  • Change of information filings (e.g., updating name or address)

The fees associated with the filing of the trademark application are not inclusive of all services and only cover the governmental filing fee and time spent preparing and filing the trademark application.

Paying for the filing of a trademark application does not guarantee a successful registration of your trademark. In addition, the cost associated with the trademark application is non-refundable.
